This
course introduces the three auxiliary machineries used onboard such as; steering
gear systems, purifier and refrigeration systems.
You
will learn to:
- Interpret
a schematic diagram and differentiate the types of steering gear by its
system and construction
- Operate
and troubleshoot the steering gear systems
- Identify
the purifier parts and describes the operating principle of a purifier used onboard
- Operate
purifier while maintaining normal operating conditions according to a
manufacturers manual
- Describes
the components and operating principles of marine refrigeration systems
- Operate
a refrigeration system while maintaining normal operating conditions
according to a manufacturers manual
