This course will equip the students with a comprehensive knowledge on techniques and best practices in guiding and escorting travelers in their travels locally and abroad. The course deals with the basic knowledge in principles of tour guiding and tour operation. It gives the students a better understanding of the differences of tour operators from travel agency; its functions; characteristics and types. Also this subject teaches the students on actual activities involved in tour packaging such as itinerary planning and tour costing to come up with a package tour. Later in semester, the students are given an orientation on the principles of tour guiding and actual hands-on guiding in selected tourist destination. Participation in domestic tour and acting students tour facilitator is the requirement of the course.
